GUWAHATI: Assam's IPS officer, Nitul Gogoi, Deputy Inspector General of Police(MPC) will be awarded President’s Police Medal for his distinguished service.
In a press notification released by Ministry of Home Affairs(MHA), as many as 13 police personnel from Assam Police force will be honoured with Police Medals for their services on the occasion of Republic Day at the national capital on the eve of Republic Day 2020.
Other official from Assam Police who will recieve the Police Medal for Meritious Service are:

4) Hav. Bipin Chandra Gogoi, 1st. A.P. Battalion, Ligiripukhuri, Nazira.
5) Naik(UB) Ganesh Kumar Singh, Special Branch, Assam, Kahilipara, Guwahati.
6) Naik(UB) Krishna Kanta Lahan, DSB, Sadiya Police District.
7) Constable(UB)-02 Binoy Sonowal, Sadiya Police District.
