GUWAHATI: Assam government has celebrated the 5th International Yoga day at Sarusajai Sports Complex in Guwahati on June 21.
Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, along with Education minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Pijush Hazarika, Kamrup (M) DC Biswajit Pegu, Assam DGP Kuladhar Saikia and other officials were present at the event.

The event was organized by National Ayurvedic, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) Mission along with Kamrup (Metro) District Administration. It started from around 6am in the morning.
Around 3,000 people from all walks of life took part in the celebration.
