GUWAHATI: The Gauhati High Court on January 3 rejected the bail plea of Lachit Sena activist, Shrinkhal Chaliha.
Further, the court instructed the police to submit a case dairy on January 9 and produce the crime committed by the accused.
Earlier, the Assam Police has registered a case against Chaliha on charges of making provocative statements against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act.
Meanwhile a CID team of the Assam Police has also conducted a raid at the residence of Chaliha in Upper Assam’s Sivasagar district.
