Indra Sena Reddy Nallu Sworn In As Tripura's 20th Governor

GUWAHATI: In an official ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan in Agartala on October 26, Indra Sena Reddy Nallu took the oath as the 20th governor of Tripura.

Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh of the Tripura High Court administered the oath of office. Distinguished attendees at the swearing-in ceremony included Chief Minister Manik Saha, members of his cabinet, and Chief Secretary J K Sinha.

Governor Nallu expressed his gratitude for the trust bestowed upon him by President Droupadi Murmu and pledged his commitment to the development of Tripura. He outlined his vision, emphasising transparency, empowerment, and accountability in the state's administration. 

Hailing from Telangana, Nallu is a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and has previously served as a three-time Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in undivided BJP. He succeeds Satyadev N Arya as governor.

In addition to Governor Nallu's appointment, the event also saw the swearing-in of Justices Sabyasachi Datta Purakayastha and Biswajit Palit as judges of the Tripura High Court.
