Indian Vice-President Visits Kamakhya Temple And IIT Guwahati On His Visit To Guwahati

The Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, wasted no time in getting acquainted with Guwahati city as he visited the Kamakhya Temple and the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati.

The Vice President, along with his wife, Sudesh Dhankhar, had arrived in Guwahati earlier this morning. They were welcomed by the Governor of Assam, Gulab Chand Kataria, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and other dignitaries on their arrival in Guwahati today.

The Vice President began the day by seeking blessings at the revered Kamakhya Temple.
The Vice President then made his way to IIT Guwahati where he was given a Guard of Honour upon arrival.

The Vice President planted saplings of Brahma Kamal and Rudraksha in the premises of IIT Guwahati.

“I am extremely delighted to be here in Assam, the land of majestic and mighty Brahmaputra”, said the Vice President.

The Vice President also attended the 25th convocation ceremony of IIT Guwahati.
