India Wins ICC Women's U19 T20 World Cup For A Record-Breaking Second Time

GUWAHATI: India etched its name in history by winning the ICC Women's U19 T20 World Cup for a record-breaking second time, defeating South Africa by nine wickets in the final.

The team’s dominant performance saw them chase down a modest target of 83 in just 11.2 overs, with G Trisha remaining unbeaten on 44*. India became the first team in the competition's history to win the title unbeaten, having won all six of their matches in the tournament.

South Africa, after being sent in to bat, were bowled out for just 82 runs in 20 overs. India’s spinners were in excellent form, with Trisha leading the charge by claiming 3/15. Vaishnavi Sharma, Aayushi Shukla, and

Parunika Sisodia each took two wickets, and Shabnam Shakil also contributed with a wicket.

India reached the final after a commanding 9-wicket victory over England in the semifinals, while South Africa advanced with a five-wicket win over Australia.
