India has recorded a huge achievement in its battle against COVID-19. The number of new cases day in, day out has been reduced below the mark of 50,000 for 26 consecutive days.

In the last 24 hours, nearly 35,500 new confirmed cases were reported while nearly 41,000 people have recovered successfully in the same time span. With the recovery rate nearing almost 90 lakhs, the national recovery rate has gone up and reached 94.11 percent.
The recovered cases in the country stand at over 20 times the number of active COVID-19 cases.
The Health Ministry has stated that almost 78 percent of the new COVID-19 cases are concentrated in 10 states including Maharashtra, Kerala, West Bengal, Haryana, and Rajasthan among others and the Union Territory of Delhi.
