GUWAHATI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the launch of the National Digital Health Mission on the occasion of the 74th Independence Day today.

Delivering his Independence Day speech at Red Fort, PM Modi said, "From today, the National Digital Health Mission campaign is going to start in the country. It will bring a new revolution in the health sector in India."

Under the National Digital Health Mission, citizens will be able to track their health care history in detail with the help of one Health ID. The database will keep records of every test, every disease of the individuals along with the medicine prescribed by the respective doctors.
