Scheduled international passenger flights in India will continue to remain suspended till 30th November. This was stated in a circular by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation on 28th October.
The restriction is not applicable on international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
The official statement further informed, "However, the international scheduled flights may be allowed on selected routes by the competent authority on a case-to-case basis."
India has already formed air-bubbles with about 18 countries whereby special international flights can operate between the territories of these countries. US, UK, UAE, Kenya, Bhutan, France, Bangladesh are in the list of countries included in the pacts.
The air bubble between India and Bangladesh started on 28th October with two flights leaving Dhaka for Kolkata and Chennai. Reportedly, 28 flights will be operated every week from Bangladesh to India, and the same will be reciprocated by India.
