GUWAHATI: Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has said that India was the fastest to reach the 1 million vaccination mark.
“We have achieved this within 6 days, US did this in 10 days, Spain in 12 days, Israel in 14 days, UK in 18 days, Italy in 19 days, Germany in 20 days & UAE in 27 days,” stated Rajesh Bhushan.
More than 25 lakh (2.5 million) people, including healthcare workers, have been vaccinated in the last 13 days, crossing the 1 million mark in merely 6 days. The government commended the 11 states and Union Territories for their speed of coverage.
