India Book of Records: Guwahati Man Writes 140-Page Book in One Sentence

GUWAHATI: Ramen Das from Guwahati has made it to the India Book of Records by writing a book that consists of just one sentence in the Assamese language.


The book, “Guru Pranati” revolves around the life and works of Srimanta Sankardeva. The book contains 140 pages. The one sentence that comprises the entire body of the book has a total of 29,619 works.

Ramen Das, who was the former GMC ward councillor of Dispur told G Plus, “I wanted the younger generation to read and understand the ideologies of the great reformer. The book is written in one sentence to attract attention. I want to raise people’s curiosity as to how it’s possible to write a book in just one sentence and in the process read and understand the guru’s teachings.”


The book is published by ‘Prakashan Kosh’ and was awarded the certificate by India Book of Records on 18th July, 2020.
