GUWAHATI: Preparations have already begun for the T20 International cricket match between India and South Africa which is to be held on October 2, 2022 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium. The teams of India and South Africa will be accompanied by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials who will reach Guwahati on September 29 and will be staying at hotel Radisson Blu.

Both Indian and South African cricket teams will be visiting the Barsapara Cricket Stadium on September 30 and October 1 to practice for their upcoming T20 match on Sunday. The teams along with the officials will leave for their next match on October 3, said Assam Cricket Association (ACA) Secretary, Devajit Saikia.

While talking to media, Devajit Saikia said, “We have received the schedule from BCCI today. The teams will reach on September 29 and will leave Guwahati after their match on October 3 at 2 PM. BCCI officials will be accompanying the Indian Cricket team in a chartered flight and the South African team will come separately in a different chartered flight. The broadcasting crew will also reach Guwahati on September 29.”

“Indian and South African team along with the BCCI and broadcasting officials will be staying at Radisson Blu. We have done so, keeping in mind that it will be Durga puja on that day, so traffic might be an issue. To smoothen out the movement of the teams we are keeping everyone at one place.”
