GUWAHATI: The Income Tax Department officials raided the residence of contractor Anil Das in Guwahati on Monday.
Massive search activities have been carried out at Anil Das's home in Guwahati's Hengrabari and Mirza areas.

The raid by the Income Tax Department officials which began at 11 AM this morning, as per media reports.
It should be noted that Das was awarded the contract to build several flyovers in Guwahati. The contractor had also worked on the building of several footbridges throughout the city, as per media reports.
Anil Das is the contractor who has constructed the FOB and earlier also constructed the Super Market Flyover.
However, the cause of the raid is still unknown. Further details are awaited.
