GUWAHATI: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a special weather bulletin forecasting hot and humid weather across Assam for the next 24 hours.

"Due to prevailing mainly clear to partly cloudy sky conditions during day time and high solar insolation maximum temperatures are likely to be more than 35°C at a few places over Assam which are above normal by 4°C to 5°C over plains of some of the districts of Assam till 27TH July, 2024," the IMD stated.
The maximum temperature is likely to rise further by 3°C to 4°C in some districts of Assam in the next two days.
The IMD has advised caution for infants and the elderly and sick people, along with pregnant women.
