IIT Guwahati Alumnus’ Startup selected for Facebook’s FbStart Pilot Program

GUWAHATI: Edvizo, an education based startup founded by an IIT Guwahati Alumnus has been selected for the Facebook Start (FbStart) Pilot Program.

Launched in March 2018, Edvizo aspires to re-invent India's educational institutions via innovative technology such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, etc.

Edvizo is an online marketplace to help students and parents find, compare and enrol in the best and trusted private institutes in their locality and at the same time, helping institutes to find them the best students through their standardised testing model ‘NLCEE - One Nation, One Exam’. In addition to this, Edvizo also provides financial assistance to economically backward meritorious students through various types of scholarships.

The FbStart programme focuses on providing early-stage startups with exclusive learning from the Facebook team on building products and scaling a business globally. Startups participating in the programme will graduate with a better understanding of how to build a successful product and tips for structuring a company.

This is a 3-months long programme offering mentorship, startup education, and access to the global community of startups.  Startups in the programme will be assigned groups that will be supported by a mentor who is a current Facebook product manager. Facebook is committed to helping startups build successful products and businesses by sharing the lessons they've learned growing from a startup to a large company.

More than 2500 institutes are in collaboration with Edvizo and till now, 20000+ students have taken admissions in different institutes through the platform.
