GUWAHATI: Students from IIT Bombay protested against the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016 on their campus on Friday, January 11.

The students of the institute, under the banner of the Northeast Collective (NEC) has appealed to all conscious citizens of India to oppose the Bill.

The students demonstrating their distress said that Bill violates the Assam Accord and is un-secular and categorically anti-Assamese. If it is passed in Upper House, it will destroy the foundation of the Constitution of India and will make the efforts of Assam Accord and NRC pointless.
