I thank People of Assam for Alerting the Country Against CAA: Yogendra Yadav

GUWAHATI: Swaraj Party leader and prominent activist Yogendra Yadav meet with media personnels at Guwahati Press Club on 14 Feb.

Talking about the ongoing anti-CAA protests across the country, he thanked people of Assam and the North-East and especially the youths for alerting the country against this Act and also initiating the protests.

He further said that after completion of the initial stage of the protests, now they would be moving towards the next step, where the entire country would unite together to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act.

In this context a 'Bharat Jodo' month will be celebrated from 22nd February on the death aniversary of Maulana abul Kalam Azad  to 23rd March, the dath aniversary of Bhagat Singh, to unify all the aspects of this protest nationwide.

Earlier he had met with AASU adviser Samujjal Bhattacharya and also KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi at the Central Jail.

It is to be mentioned that around 100 organisations have united  to protest against the National Population Register(NPR), National Register of Citizens(NRC) and the enactment of the Citizenship Amendment Act under the umbrella body "We the People of India".
