GUWAHATI: A pipe burst had been reported at Kharguli near the Judges quarters on January 2, 2025.
The pipe burst reported to have ocurred in the early hours of Thursday at 9: 50 AM.

Huge gushes of water were seen leaping up as in videos and photos sent to GPlus. Such incident of a similar magnitude was also reported in similar locality in 2023. Authorities have been reported to be reaching the spot as the leakage had been reportedly stopped at the time of filing this report. Further details are awaited.
Also. Guwahati Jal Board (GJB) replied to GPlus' post stating:
Apropos to the news article regarding the pipe burst at Nepalichowk, Kharghuli under the GJB's jurisdiction ,we would like to state that an unforeseen rupture has occurred in the transmission main water supply pipeline at the mentioned location.
