GUWAHATI: Assam Education Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, in a press meet said that the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) results will be declared on June 6, 2020.
Earlier, the minister said,"I think we are becoming ready to go back to normal life. We should go in a staged manner. When we reopen schools and colleges, at first we should open for class 10 and 12 and then move on to Classes 9 and 11 etc.”
The minister also clearly reiterated that all such decisions will be taken by the government of India and the state government will act accordingly. Only on approval by the Centre would the state government take the decisions as cited by him.
Further, Himanta Biswa stated that Assam has already completed 90 days of lockdown and although cases have surged in Assam, the state is ready to tackle all.
