GUWAHATI: In a significant development for sports enthusiasts in the state, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the High-Performance Sports Training and Rehabilitation Centre along with the Olympic Values Education Program at the Sarusajai Sports Complex in Guwahati on January 25.
Addressing the gathering, CM Sarma encouraged the sports community to actively utilise the newly inaugurated center, emphasising its role in nurturing high-performance athletes and aiding in their rehabilitation.
Expressing gratitude, the Chief Minister acknowledged the collaborative efforts of Olympian Abhinav Bindra in establishing these state-of-the-art facilities not only in Guwahati but also in Jorhat.
The inauguration marks a significant stride in promoting sports excellence in the region. The High-Performance Sports Training and Rehabilitation Centre is poised to become a hub for aspiring athletes, offering them advanced infrastructure and support to hone their skills and recover from injuries.
