GUWAHATI: Boko Police, in coordination with the Special Task Force (STF), Assam, seized 121 gram of heroin from a traveller vehicle near Boko Police Station on November 21.

The contraband, hidden in nine soap cases, has an estimated market value exceeding ₹1 crore.
The operation also resulted in the arrest of Sharif Ali, a resident of Jamalait near Nagarbera. Ali was travelling in the vehicle as a passenger when authorities intercepted it. The traveller was reportedly en-route from Guwahati to Simlatola in Nagarbera.
In addition to the heroin, the authorities seized Ali’s mobile phone, which is currently being examined for potential leads. Investigation is underway for further information.
