GUWAHATI: On February 27, the Crime Branch apprehended an individual named Subrata Sarkar (23 years) from Sribhumi Nagar, Adagudam, under the jurisdiction of Dispur Police Station. The apprehension took place at approximately 8:30 PM, as confirmed by sources within the Crime Branch.

During the operation, authorities recovered a total of 30 plastic vials containing suspected drugs, identified as heroin, from the possession of Sarkar. The combined weight of the plastic vials and the suspected substance amounted to 40 grams, while the weight of the substance alone was 4.20 grams.

Additionally, one mobile handset and a motorcycle were also seized from the suspect. Sarkar, a resident of Sribhumi Nagar, Adagudam, is currently under custody, and all necessary legal actions have been initiated against him.
