GUWAHATI: In response to a complaint lodged by a victim, the Cyber Police Station (PS) team apprehended a man accused of cyber harassment and impersonation on November 7.

The accused, identified as Tanu Teron, 33, from Birkuchi, was arrested for allegedly creating fake social media accounts in the victim’s name and using them to post objectionable videos and images.
According to officials, Teron had been impersonating the victim on multiple platforms, causing distress and harm to the individual’s reputation. The authorities were alerted after the victim reported the issue, leading to an investigation and the eventual arrest. Police sources confirmed that Teron used these fake profiles to upload and distribute sensitive material without consent.
