GUWAHATI: The authorities seized heroin along with cash and a mobile phone at G.S Road, Guwahati on Sunday, September 1.

The Special Task Force (STF), Assam conducted a raid on September 1, at Bora Service, opposite Trends Footwear on G.S. Road, under the jurisdiction of Paltan Bazar Police Station leading to a seizure of six soap boxes containing suspected heroin, weighing 79.5 gram (excluding the weight of the soap boxes), 1 mobile phone, and cash amounting to ₹10,800.
The accused, identified as Rashidul Islam, 24, was arrested at the scene. He was in possession of a two-wheeler which was also seized during the operation. Further details are awaited.
