Hemant Soren To Take Oath As Jharkhand’s 14th CM Today

GUWAHATI: Hemant Soren is set to be sworn in as the 14th Chief Minister of Jharkhand on Thursday, November 28 at 4 PM. The oath will be administered by Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar. According to Ghulam Ahmad Mir, Congress general secretary and Jharkhand in-charge, Soren will take the oath alone, with a cabinet expansion planned following a vote of confidence in the assembly.

The event is expected to draw significant public and political attention. Hemant Soren has invited the public to join the ceremony and shared a live stream link for the event on YouTube.

“It’s heartening to have such esteemed leaders join us for this important occasion,” Soren remarked while reviewing preparations for the event.
The city is decked out with posters, while special security and traffic arrangements have been implemented for the grand occasion. This marks Hemant Soren’s fourth term as Chief Minister, following his recent victory in the assembly elections. He won from the Barhait constituency, defeating BJP’s Gamliyel Hembrom by a margin of 39,791 votes.
Soren’s Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led alliance secured 56 out of 81 seats in the assembly, significantly outpacing the BJP-led NDA, which managed only 24 seats
