GUWAHATI: Unprecedented rainfall came down on Guwahati in the early hours of June 14. The brief, but heavy rain fall triggered water logging in several parts of the city.
Reports from areas such as Hatigaon, Dispur, Gandhi Mandap, Kalapahar, Christian Basti came in, along with visuals of other water logged areas.

While the rainfall brought respite to the soaring temperatures in the city, it raises a question on the planning by the administration for the monsoon season that lies ahead.
Several other simultaneous projects around the city such as the divider construction on G.S Road and JICA project work have added to the woes of the commuters.
