GUWAHATI: Heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms is likely to lash the state in the next 12 hours as moist southerly winds from Bay of Bengal are steadily flowing into Northeast India.
Assam, along with Sikkim, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura is predicted to witness moderate to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, Guwahati will witness continuous rain with one or two spells of thundershowers starting from June 24.
