GUWAHATI: Heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places with extremely heavy falls are very likely over Assam and Meghalaya on 26th and 27th June. Further, isolated heavy to very heavy falls on 28th June and isolated heavy falls on 29th June are also likely.
In a press notification, Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said that in Assam and Meghalaya rainfall is expected at most places with isolated heavy to very heavy and extremely heavy falls till June 30.

Earlier on June 26, a massive landslide led to a house being badly damaged in the Kahilipara area of Guwahati due to the continuous rainfall. An old resident of the house succumbed to her injuries after she had been admitted to the hospital.
