GUWAHATI: An early morning heavy shower has resulted in flash floods across Guwahati city in the early morning of 14th September.
The unprecedented rainfall triggered water logging in several parts of the ‘smart city’.
As rain kept pouring in, so did reports and visuals of flash flood from areas such as Zoo Road, Chadmari, Ambari, Kalapahar, Ulubari, Hatigaon, Dispur, Gandhi Mandap, and Christian Basti, among others.
To help Guwahatians commute during the busy hours, the Guwahati Traffic Police took to Twitter mentioning, “Water logging at Chandmari and Maligaon Chariali area. Please drive carefully.”
“Please avoid GNB road from TC point to Chandmari as the vehicles are unable to move,” they added.
