GUWAHATI: Hare Krishna Mandir North Guwahati celebrated the Grand 10th Ratha Yatra, which took place on June 20, 2023.
The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of the Governor of Assam, who inaugurated the event at 3:00 PM, starting from Hare Krishna Mandir in North Guwahati and culminating at Durg Mandir in Madhyam Khanda. The event showcased a procession of immense spiritual significance. The event commemorated Lord Jagannath's annual chariot festival, wherein the deities of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra were beautifully placed upon a magnificent ratha (chariot).
Devotees and spectators thronged the route, joining the procession with deep reverence and joyous enthusiasm. The rhythmic beats of traditional instruments and the melodic singing of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra created an atmosphere charged with spiritual energy, engulfing all present in a wave of divine ecstasy.
Madhyam Khanda, a cultural program was organised for the pleasure of Lord Jagannath. Local artists showcased their talents through traditional dance forms, music, and theatrical presentations, enthralling the audience and invoking a sense of reverence and joy.
This momentous celebration was marked by prasad distribution, juice distribution, and a delightful cultural program for all devotees.
