Halicharan Narzary Among 7 Players Released From India's World Cup Qualifiers Probables

GUWAHATI: Indian senior national team coach Igor Stimac released seven players from the national camp in Goa, bringing down the probable squad to a 28-member team.

The released players included defenders Salam Ranjan Singh, Anwar Ali (Jr.), Jerry Lalrinzuala, midfielders Pronay Halder, Halicharan Narzary and forwards Farukh Choudhary and Jobby Justin.

India begins its campaign for the FIFA World Cup 2022 against Oman on September 5 which is scheduled to be held in Guwahati.

It is to be mentioned that India is placed in Group E alongside Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Oman and Qatar.
