Transport Department Invites Public Objections To E-rickshaw Ban Move In Guwahati

 

The notice stated that the provision to challenge the ban has particularly been provided for individuals likely to be affected  by the proposed prohibition

GUWAHATI: The Regional Transport Authority of Guwahati has invited applications for objections challenging the proposed ban on e-rickshaws commuting across several regions in the city. This was revealed via an official notice issued on Saturday, January 18.

The notice stated that the provision to challenge the ban has particularly been provided for individuals likely to be affected  by the proposed prohibition.

Hence, people who may suffer from issues by the decision have been instructed to submit their written objections or submissions through the mail dtosecyrta40@gmail.com or in person/by post on the transport department’s official address, i.e., Office of the District Transport Officer & Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Kamrup (Metropolitan), Betkuchi, Guwahati, Assam, Pin-781040.

Also, it has been stated that the objections or suggestions must be suggested within 15 days following the date of publication for the notice in newspapers.

The ban spans 56 locations in Guwahati, with heavy-commuting areas like Fancy Bazar, Bhetapara, and GMCH affected. Check the full list of locations that banned the commutation of e-rickshaws here.
