GUWAHATI: Rehabari Bilpar is set to celebrate Durga Puja with an eco-friendly pandal this year, organised by the Rehabari Bilpar Durga Puja Committee.

Talking to GPlus, a committee member shared, "This year's pandal will be crafted entirely out of bamboo, reflecting our commitment to sustainability and honoring Assam's cultural heritage," the member said.
The committee chose bamboo to emphasise its historical and cultural importance in the region. Additionally, the Maa Durga idol will be a Dhakeshwari Durga Idol, beautifully adorned with Shola craft fabric, which adds a unique artistic touch to the festivities.
"We want to showcase the work of our local artisans through this pandal," the member added. The budget for the pandal has been set at Rs 25 lakh.
