A resident of the area, Samrat speaking to GPlus said, “The condition of the road in our area is pathetic. Moreover, students are unable to attend their schools during the rains due to waterlogging and slushy condition. It is sad that the authorities have not done anything to resolve the issue till now although we have been approaching them.”
Another resident said, “We face a lot of difficulties due to the damaged roads. Also, E-rickshaws, garbage vans, and cabs refuse to enter the area.”
When contacted, a senior PWD official, however, cited that they would look into it and that work is going on across the city. “We have spoken with the ward councilors of all the areas of the city and identified the places. We will start repairing all the roads soon”, he said.
