GUWAHATI: A man who was thrashed by a group of people in the Ganeshguri area of Guwahati, passed away on February 7 at around 3 PM.
The event transpired following a minor scuffle that escalated into a deadly assault, leaving the man with severe head injuries.
The man was rushed to the Dispur Polyclinic in Ganeshguri for medical attention. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, he succumbed to his injuries around 3 PM.
Speaking to GPlus, an official from Dispur police station stated, "We received reports of the incident around 12 PM, and the case is currently under investigation. The body will be sent to GMCH for a post-mortem examination."
As the investigation is underway, conflicting narratives emerge from the local community. Talking to GPlus, some claim that the man was targeted due to alleged involvement in a robbery, while others assert that his actions were a result of intoxication, creating nuisance in the area.
