GUWAHATI: The women of Guwahati took to the streets on Thursday, April 4 to conduct a ‘Women’s March for Change’ in Dighalipukhri in the city.
Women activists, students and women leaders from different organisations participated in this march. It was a demonstration for equality, peace and freedom of women in India.
Some of their placards read ‘Women are not products,’ ‘Violence is non-negotiable’ and ‘Trafficked women are raped.’

The march also took place in 143 districts across 20 states including the capital, New Delhi where participants marched from Mandi House to Parliament street.
