GUWAHATI: A daylight robbery took place in the Lachit Nagar area of Guwahati, on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, where a woman reportedly lost cash meant for her daughter's wedding to scooter-borne snatchers.
A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed at the Paltan Bazar Police Station by the victim, Junu Sarma.
As mentioned in the FIR, Junu Sarma said that she was walking in the Lachit Nagar area at around 4.25 PM, yesterday, when two riders on a scooter snatched her bag and escaped.
The bag contained ₹65,000 for her daughter’s wedding, the FIR further stated.
The Officer-in-Charge of Paltan Bazar Police Station while speaking to G Plus said that the investigation is going on. The riders have not been identified till the filing of this report.
