GUWAHATI: An accident occurred near Lalung Gaon on Sunday night where a woman lost her life after being hit by a speeding car.

The victim, whose identity remains unknown, was attempting to cross the road when the car struck her, causing fatal injuries.

The driver of the car fled the scene immediately after the collision. Garchuk Police later arrived at the scene and transported the victim's remains for a postmortem examination where she was declared dead.
Speaking to GPlus, a traffic official from Garchuk Police Station said, "We were informed about the incident at around 9:15 PM. There is no trace of the vehicle and we are still investigating."
