GUWAHATI: A mid-aged woman was allegedly murdered in her residence at Chandmari area on 7 December.
The deceased, identified as Pramila Boro, an employee of the Assam Public Health Engineering department was found dead by her son when he entered the house and immediately alerted the neighbours who then informed the Chandmari police.

Based on the initial reports the deceased suffocated to death and had strangulation marks on her neck.
According to her son, Pramila Boro had earlier fits of arguments with her maternal uncle Rajendra Kalita and suspects his role in her unnatural death.
Chandmari police have now issued a lookout notice for Rajendra Kalita.
