In an incident that occurred during the rush hours on Wednesday morning, a car reportedly got stuck in an unfilled pit on the road near Handique Girls' College leading to a massive traffic jam in the area.
It is to be mentioned that of late there have been several incidents where the dug up pits are kept unfilled.
There have been many instances across the city where due to lack of properly marked digging areas, vehicles have fallen into pits and dug up areas.
The administration has to urgently look into such matters as sometimes it may lead to fatal accidents.It is also to be mentioned here that most of the digging areas lack proper lighting facilities due to which such incidents have become a common scene thereby affecting the regular flow of traffic.
