GUWAHATI: In an ongoing effort to combat drug-related activities in the city, a team from the Pan Bazaar Police Station, part of the Central Guwahati Police District, made a significant arrest. The operation led to the apprehension of Md Selim Ali, a resident of Noonmati.
32-year-old Ali was taken into custody after being found in possession of 70 vials containing a substance suspected to be heroin. The total weight of the seized substance amounted to 195 grams.
The arrest took place near Pani Tanki on October 11. Additionally, one “magic” vehicle, a mobile phone, and ₹1500 in cash were confiscated during the operation.
