GUWAHATI: Sacks filled with money were confiscated by the Chandmari Police in Guwahati on Sunday, January 24. The packets were full of coins and the exact worth is yet to established as the Police have not counted the coins.

The incident occurred at Bhaskar Nagar area of Guwahati. This was informed to G Plus by Officer in Charge (OC), Pradip Haloi.

As per reports, some unidentified men dumped three sacks filled with the coins near a house in the area. One Ashraful Ali has been apprehended by the police, who confessed to having found the money near a garbage landfill.
Further investigation is on by the Chandmari Police to ascertain the matter.
