Guwahati’s Only COVID-19 Patient Discharged

GUWAHATI: Guwahati’s only COVID-19 patient was cured and discharged on April 19 after testing negative in four successive tests. 

Manish Tibrewal, a resident of Zoo Road’s Spanish Garden in Guwahati was admitted in Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) and will now be under home quarantine. 
  
Sharing the news, state health and family welfare minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted: 

“We discharged one more #COVID patient today after his 4 successive tests came out as negative. Manish Tiberwal of Kamrup was admitted in GMCH and now leaves for home quarantine. Glad that now the number of cured (17) exceeds active (16) cases.”

It is to be mentioned that with Tiberwal’s discharged, total number of cured patients stands at 17. Further, four more COVID-19 patients were discharged from Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH) on April 19.

All the patients were released after their 4 successive tests confirmed negative and have been sent to 14-day home quarantine. These patients included Md Shahrukh, Mafizuddin, Zamila Khatun and Md Asraf Ali.
