GUWAHATI: The Assam Police Crime Branch detained a rhino poacher from Nagaland Guest House in the city on Wednesday, July 10.
The crime branch and Special Investigation Branch (SIB) launched a joint operation to nab the poacher after receiving a tip-off.

The poacher has been identified as Wakuf alias Master and he hails from Dimapur in Nagaland.
Based on reports, a police official said that Wakuf has been involved in many rhino poaching incidents in Kaziranga National Park and the police will conduct their routine investigation before producing the accused in court.
