GUWAHATI: Guwahati residents have complained about city buses violating traffic regulations.

Over 400 WhatsApp complaints were sent to the designated WhatsApp complaint numbers after the service was rolled out in November last year. The complaints include stopping of buses in the middle of the road and overloading.

G Plus spoke to ADCP (Traffic) Pranjit Bora, who stated the difficulties of regulating the buses. "We are vigilant but not everything can be done by the police. Self-regulation is also required," said Bora.
As per the Traffic Police, some residents of Guwahati try to board the buses in the middle of the road, which blocks the road further.
