GUWAHATI: In context to the recent death of the former vice-principal of Cotton University, Deven Dutta, a committee has been set up to enquire about the delay of blood provision from the blood bank as per official reports on Friday.
A committee is being set up with the following faculty members Ajanta Sharma(Chairman), Usha Sarma (Member), Ujjal Kr. Sarma (Member) to look into the matter and submit the report by today itself.
It is to be mentioned here that apart from being involved in various social organisations, the educationist-turned-consumer rights activist-turned-politician Deven Dutta also took part in stage shows. Born on April 5, 1944, at Nazira in Sivasagar, Deven Dutta was a resident of the Sundarpur area in Guwahati. He completed his post-graduation in English in the year 1965 and started his career as a professor of English at Cotton College.
