GUWAHATI: Debashish Baruah aka DJ Brahmin has been taken under custody by the Sonapur Police, Guwahati over possession of prohibited substances.

This was confirmed to G Plus by Sonapur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Pranab Baishya. DJ Brahmin was caught in possession of charas weighing 445 gram in 28 packets, cocaine 43 gram in two packers, and ecstasy drug type skype tablets weighing 25 gram.
As per the Commissioner of Police Munna Prasad Gupta, on the basis of input regarding trafficking of suspected narcotic substances an operation was carried out by a team of Crime Branch, Guwahati along with the staff of Sonapur PS. One Bus bearing registration number AS 01 LC 5778 coming from Lakhimpur to Guwahati was intercepted at Sonapur toll gate.
Thereafter, upon searching, the luggage belonging to DJ Brahmin was found to be in possession of the narcotic substances.
"The drugs were kept concealed in a black color music speaker," police officials told G Plus.
