GUWAHATI: A team of the Guwahati Police from Fatashil police station arrested two individuals allegedly involved in a robbery and assault case reported near South Point School on November 8.

The suspects, identified as Rahul Das (alias Raja), 20, from Datalpara, and Md Azan Ahmed, 21, from Barsapara, were apprehended following an investigation.
The suspects targeted an elderly woman, robbing her of valuables that included a gold chain, two mobile phones, a handbag, and cash amounting to ₹4,390. The incident turned violent as the woman was pushed to the ground before the suspects made their escape.
In connection with this case, authorities have also seized six mobile phones, including those stolen in this incident, a cutter, and a scooter. Further investigations are underway.
