Guwahati Police Apprehends Irani Group Member

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati police officials apprehended a member of Irani group on Tuesday, March 2. 


The Irani group member was apprehended for his involvement in motorcycle theft along with other instruments. The operation was carried by a police team of officials from Jalukbari Police Station (PS) in Guwahati.


Biren Gowala, 35, who hails from Jalpaiguri was arrested whilst standing by his bike near the State Bank of India (SBI) Maligaon branch. However, another snatcher named Akash Singh managed to escape the police.


According to the police, Irani groups don't belong to Guwahati. They come from places like Cooch Behar, Bihar and Silguri. They commit their crime and flee.
