GUWAHATI: An unidentified pedestrian died in a hit-and-run case at Six Mile junction at around 6 AM on Saturday, August 3.
An official from Dispur police station said, "The pedestrian was hit by a speeding truck that fled the scene immediately after the accident. The victim succumbed to his injuries on the spot, and the truck driver is currently absconding"
The body has been sent for postmortem examination at GMCH.
Further investigation is underway.
